Well .38 already is a powerful caliber, depending on what you fight it can even be considered overpowered.

The main issue with handgun/blade combinations is that a pistol or revolver are meant to be used beyond arm´s reach, so one has to get uncomfortably close for the blade to be usable.

Since early firearms had only one shot usually (except pepperbox type guns), it made sense, but on a multi-shot weapon, the blade might add more weight than is good.

Plus the multi-shot nature makes the weapon more complex, which in turn makes the whole construction more susceptible to damage from the shock of hitting something.

Yet opticswise i like it.
